Admissions and waiting lists at Zona Norte schools

At bilingual and international schools in Zona Norte there is no single “online enrollment”: each school sets its own calendar, prioritizes siblings/alumni in its own way, and often does not guarantee a place even after the interview. This guide gathers what is published today (official sites and regulations) to plan entry for February 2027 (and August exceptions).

How to read these deadlines

  1. The process is usually a year ahead. St. Andrew’s says so explicitly; St. Luke’s opens interviews in April–May of the prior year; Micole recommends 6–12 months of lead time at high-demand bilinguals.
  2. Waiting list ≠ form submitted. Several schools clarify that starting the process does not award a place. SMC North is among the few that describe a formal list when there are no vacancies.
  3. Siblings and alumni usually go first (admission priority and/or fee discount). That shrinks the “open” places in small early-years rooms.
  4. Argentine calendar vs Northern Hemisphere. Lincoln (La Lucila) admits almost year-round with different semesters; SASS/Northlands/Ham follow February–December, with August entry only exceptional (especially overseas families).

Sibling priority and “waiting list”: what is real

SignalWhat it means in practice
Published sibling discount (SASS, Northlands)Impact on the fee, not necessarily on list order (unless the school says otherwise separately).
Admission priority (SMC North)Siblings / alumni / transfers / return go ahead in the vacancy queue.
“Does not imply awarding” (St. Luke’s)You can finish the process and still be out or on an informal wait.
Waitlist by paperwork (Lincoln)Whoever completes docs first wins, not whoever sent the first email.
Micole (market context)In high-demand early years in ZN, some families start before birth — market anecdote, not a school rule.

Practical checklist (today: September 2026)

  1. If entry is February 2027: SASS closes 15/08/2026 — high urgency. St. Luke’s should already be in the interview window (Apr–May). Northlands/Ham/SMC: request a slot now.
  2. If entry is August 2026 (overseas): hard cutoffs 1 Jun (SASS) and week of 22 Jun (Northlands visits).
  3. Ask in writing: real vacancies for the level, sibling policy, enrollment/reservation (refundable?), and whether there is a formal list.
  4. Prepare a folder: ID/birth certificate, report cards, debt clearance / transfer letter, external reports if any.
  5. Compare cost separately: Nordelta fees, San Isidro–Olivos, ARS vs USD.

Summary

This page’s competitive edge versus a generic directory is the calendar with citable dates: SASS 1 Apr–15 Aug 2026 for 2027; St. Luke’s April/May; Northlands June cutoff for August; SMC with explicit list and priority; Lincoln with Dec/May deadlines. We do not invent places or “list positions”: only admissions confirms that.
